Synopsis:
Agape Koinonia Alliance, Inc. has been in existence since September 2014. We are carrying out our mission to reach and positively impact the lives of kids, youth, and college students in the community, who excel academically or have financial challenges.
Annually, we provide less fortunate kids with toys and gifts for Christmas, school supplies and backpacks prior to the start of the school year. Also, as means of encouragement, we provide a number of students who do well academically and are good citizens on campus and in the community with awards. We realize the value of letting these kids and youth know we believe in them. We have letters on file from apartment managers where we serve kids and youth, K through high school, acknowledging our efforts.
At our community fundraisers, we provide a venue for selected students and kids to showcase their talents and gifts before an audience as means of encouragement, confidence, and experience.
Parents of the kids and community members welcome and laud our efforts. We have received reports of amazing life changing occurrences linked to outreaches.
Many of the college awardees are now college and university teachers and counselors; business owners; Ministry Leaders; and others are gainfully employed in the community. Many high school awardees are in college and doing well. Others continue to excel academically and engage in positive events. Several are serving in the military. Some have completed and been commissioned via YWAM.
We have certificates on file from local judges, congressmen, county supervisors and corporate sponsors acknowledging our endeavors to help enrich the lives of these wonderful beings.
2024 Events:
In June 2024, we honored several graduating cum laude college students. Also, on June 29, 2024, we honored a group of high school graduates who were entering college and/or trade school. Moreover, we provided awards for grade school and high school students who did well academically and were positively involved in the community; helped several kids who were products of challenging circumstances attend summer camp; in July and August 2024, we conducted backpacks and school supply giveaways, awarded approximately ten kids for their involvement in a city clean-up crew. The Mayor and City Council, from the area where the clean-up crew resides, responded to our request and provided the crew with letters of appreciation for their service. We had each of the kids reciprocate with handwritten acknowledgements expressing gratitude for recognition. During the month of December, we provided Christmas toys and gifts to kids, youth and teens.
2025 Events
On July 19, 2025, we held a community outreach awards and fundraiser event at Temecula Music Teacher School, where two music students performed; scholarships and awards were provided to high school graduates; awards given to youth and kids for their academic success and good conduct, a panel of college students provided information regarding their college experiences to high school graduates who would be entering college. In July and August, we provided 264 backpacks/school supplies to kids and youths. We provided financial support for two youths to attend summer camp as well as support for foster kids to attend camp. In December, we will be providing toys to approximately 300 kids and youth as well financial assistance for meals and additional toys.
